CIRCA SURVIVE

Anthony Green
Venue: Durty Nellie's - Palatine, IL
Circa Survive is a Rock band signed with Atlantic Record,  originally from Philadelphia, PA.
I was so excited when I found out CrescendoTV was going to be interviewing Circa Survive.
I wasn't able to interview, but I was able to meet Anthony, Brendan and Nick.

I have listened to this band since 2007, when they released the album "On Letting Go", and being able to meet and talk to these guys, was amazing! I never was able to see them perform live until the day of the interview.
DAMN!
The sound of Anthony's voice live compared to cd, is melodically overwhelming. It's the connection of emotion/passion between Anthony and the fans. The best part of the show was seeing how much fun Circa Survive (especially Anthony) was having. Being able to be a part of that experience was one thing, but being able to capture it in the moment; priceless.

Of Mice & Men is an American metalcore band originally from, Costa Mesa, CA.
They're a group of talented musicians/friends who are connected by love of music.
Austin, the lead singer, is an outgoing goofball that off the stage. But when he's on stage, you can just see his love and passion spilling out of him onto the crowd.

Nick Venzon was able to interview Austin, lead vocals, and Alan, guitar.
I think that this is the most hilarious interview CrescendoTV has to date!
Don't believe me?!
I'll prove it:

The Devil Wears Prada

Camera Body:
Nikon D3x
Camera Lens:
24-70mm f/2.8
Settings:
ISO: 100
f/: f/4.0
Shutter: 1/200

The Devil Wears Prada is a Hardcore/Christian/Metal band originally from Dayton, OH.
Seeing this band live was so fun! The lyrics are passionate and inspiring while the band itself is in your face and just living in that moment of the song.
Mike, the lead singer, was definitely my favorite to photograph because he was hard to even keep an eye on! He was never in the same place twice on stage. And I actually had to back away a couple times because he got so close.

Check them out! You won't regret it!

TDWP:

CrescendoTV Catalog

So, it has been a while again since I have posted with updates on CTV.

The reason is because my finals had a hold on me again.
In Digital Pre-Press, w/ Joe Abiera (one of the most amazing instuctors ever), we were assigned to make a catalog.
It could have been on anything we wanted, we just had to sell products.

SO, I decided, Why not make a catalog for CrescendoTV?!
Where you would be able to buy our gear!
(this is the final version but the lines on the corners are for when I cut the actual catalog out, so it won't be on the actual catalog itself.)

It took me forever, but I LOVED how it turned out!
Keep in mind, this is NOT REAL, CrescendoTV DOES NOT sell these items!
We hope that in the near future, we will be able to though.

ENJOY!

I See Stars is a post-hardcore / electronica band w/ six band members. They released an album in the beginning of this year called, "The End of The World Party" and will be releasing a new one in 2012. So get stoked!
I was able to meet and interview Brent(guitarist) & Andy(drummer) on their tour bus w/ CrescendoTV, and they were hilarious!! Definitely the type of dudes I would enjoy hanging out with.
They put on a great live show at The Bottom Lounge! Their fans were loving it! Hell, I was loving it!

MOTIONLESS IN WHITE

Taken at All Stars Tour - Milwaukee, WI
Camera Body:
Nikon D3X
Lens:
24-70mm f/2.8
Settings:
ISO: 2000
Shutter: 1/125sec
F/stop: f/2.8

MIW is definitely a heavier band, more in the genre of metalcore/gothic metal. But they know how to get the crowd going! I remember as I was taking these pictures, I had a couple "fan moments". I actually had to stop myself from getting too into the music because I wasn't concentrating on my photos! HAHA!

The greatest part of this experience though, was being able to meet Chris and Ricky for the second time, since CTV has started.

MIW is full of talented musicians who LOVE putting on a show for their fans. It's ridiculous how dedicated they are to their 'Creatures'. This band is full of passion/rage/love/hate and everything inbetween!

If you haven't already, you NEED to check them out. Great guys! Great band! <3

Day One Hundred And Twenty-Seven

May 17, 2011

Does anyone else think that this is weird? I was at the train station with Kate Barr and these are just random pedestrians waiting for the train.
Notice that they are all looking at me? (By the way, I was just pointing my camera in random places toward them because I wanted a picture with people in it.)
And this is what I get.
AWESOME! :D

Shot with a Nikon D3 and 24-70mm wide-angle zoom lens. Settings: f/8.0, 1/200sec, and ISO100

Day One Hundred And Twenty-Six

May 16, 2011

I am doing a project for Photo Studio, and we have to do something called exhaustion. We pick a medium sized object, and basically take photos of it in different ways.
This was taken in the photo studio at my school, just to show what the object looks like.
So here ya go!

Shot with a Nikon D3 and 24-70mm wide-angle zoom lens. Settings: f/11, 1/160sec, and 100ISO.

Day One Hundred And Twenty-Five

Not that great of a picture. But Steve Menke was waiting for the train to go back home and I decided to capture it.

Taken with a Nikon D2X and 24-70mm wide-angle zoom lens. Settings: f/5.0, 1/100sec, 500ISO.

Day One Hundred And Twenty-Four

May 14, 2011

It's kinda gross how geese have little teeth on their tongues.

Taken with a Nikon D2X and 24-70mm wide-angle zoom lens. Settings: f/8.0, 1/100sec, 200ISO.

Day One Hundred And Twenty-Three

May 13, 2011

Shot with a Nikon D2X and 70-200mm lens. Settings: f/3.5, 1/200sec, 320ISO.

Day One Hundred And Twenty-Two

May 12, 2011

Day One Hundred And Twenty-One

May 11, 2011

This was taken on the day that was very hot because it was so humid. I was only outside for 10 minutes and I was sweating like no other, so I went back inside.
This is what I got out of those 10 minutes.
:P

Shot with a Nikon D3 and 28-70mm wide-angle zoom lens. Settings: f/8.0, 1/100sec, ISO1250.

Day One Hundred And Twenty

May 10, 2011

I know it's blurry and has no focus point. No, that was not my intention, a bee landed on my arm and I didn't want it to sting me, so I moved right when I took the picture.
But I feel like it adds a certain mood to this picture.
Thanks Dana for helping me on how to edit this.
:]

Shot with a Nikon D3 and 28-70mm wide-angle zoom lens. Settings: f/2.8, 1/125sec, ISO400.
Edited with Lightroom3.

Day One Hundred And Nineteen

May 9, 2011

I'm sorry if you get mad at me that I have a picture of your bum on my blog. But I love the colors in the pictures and how well they compliment each other!
I love you!
:D

Shot with a Nikon D3 and 24-70mm wide-angle zoom lens. Settings: f/9.0, 1/200sec, ISO100.

Day One Hundred and Eighteen

May 8, 2011

Shot with a Nikon D3 and 24-70mm wide-angle zoom lens. Settings: f/2.8, 1/100sec, ISO1250.
Edited with Lightroom3.

Day One Hundred And Seventeen

May 7, 2011

My mother recently got a bird feeder right outside our bay window because as she says, "It's like having pet birds, but without the mess!"
She would get so excited when she would see birds eating from the feeder! She would even have to look up to see what type of birds they were.
So, for my mother, I decided to start taking pictures of the birds. This one was the best one just because I was able to capture the seed in the birds mouth.
:]

Shot with a Nikon D3 and 70-200mm zoom lens. Settings: f/8.0, 1/160sec, ISO125.

Day One Hundred And Sixteen

May 6, 2011

I ended up going over to my friend, Jen Groth's, house for her birthday. (Happy Birthday Girlie!).
It was girl's night, and while we were taking a cig break in the kitchen, Kalin Garvins, was deciding to play with her smoke. Haha
Love you girls and miss you already!
<3

Shot with a Nikon D3 and 24-70mm wide-angle zoom lens. Settings: f/8.0, 1/100sec, 125ISO.

Day One Hundred and Fifteen

May 5, 2011

I was walking in the woods and found this on a log.
I am still in question if these are from a human or a dog?
What do you think?

Shot with a Nikon D3 and 24-70mm wide-angle zoom lens. Settings: f/8.0, 1/125sec, 200ISO.

Day One Hundred And Fourteen

May 4, 2011

Yes Kate Barr, I ended up retaking this photo. :]

Taken with a Nikon D3 and 60mm micro lens. Settings: f/3.2, 1/100sec, 640ISO.
Edited in Lightroom3.

Day One Hundred And Thirteen

May 3, 2011

BEWARE for those with sensitive stomachs!
Yes, this is a rabbit cut in half.
After the landlord cut the grass, this ALREADY DEAD rabbit, basically became decapitated.
When I first saw it, I was disgusted by it, but I found myself staring at this; not in a disgusted way but more interested.

Shot with a Nikon D3 and 24-70mm wide-angle zoom lens. Settings: f/2.8, 1/100sec, 1250ISO.
Edited in Lightroom3.

Day One Hundred And Twelve

May 2, 2011

This is more of an inside joke with where I work, The Cage. Because we work at a school, we cannot swear as much as we usually do. So, our boss, Steve, decided to make a swear jar! Kate Barr thought it would be a good idea to just use her debit card to put credit for her swears. Obviously.. does not work.
:]

Shot with a Nikon D3 and 60mm micro lens. Settings: f/3.2, 1/100sec, 640ISO.

Day One Hundred And Eleven

May 1, 2011

I ended up going for a walk to the mailbox and I ended up seeing this squirrel just staring at me.
It's not that great of a picture, it's shaky and not clear. I tried to clear it up, but it didn't work as well as I'd hoped. I didn't realize this until I put the image on my computer. But oh well! :]

Shot with a Nikon D3 and 85mm lens. Settings: f/6.3, 1/100sec, 100ISO.

Day One Hundred And Ten

April 30, 2011

Shot with a Nikon D3, 24-70mm wide-angle zoom lens, and SB-800. Settings: f/2.8, 1/100sec, 100ISO

Friday, April 29, 2011

Day One Hundred and Nine

Today aI went to work at 8AM til 1PM and basically cleaned the entire Service Bureau. What's funny, is that when I went home, I cleaned my entire apartment and car.
After I was done, I decided to go outside for a cigarette (by the way, the weather outside was beautiful today!). As I looked out over my balcony towards the pond, I saw a geese couple with babies. Immediately I thought to myself, "365!"
So I went inside, got my camera and started following the little babies until they got in the water and went across to the other side. This is what I got.
AREN'T THEY ADORABLE?!

Taken with a Nikon D3 and 70-200mm lens. Settings: f/13, 1/200sec and ISO 100.

Day One Hundred And Eight

April 28, 2011

Taken with a Nikon D3 and 14mm wide-angle lens. Settings: f/2.8, 1/100sec and ISO 640.

Wednesday, April 27, 2011

Day One Hundred And Seven

I'm FINALLY up to date!
Yay! Now that I am up to date I don't have Kate Barr badgering me about saying that she wants to see what the photo of the day was.
:]
Now this picture.. The color is a bit ridiculous, but I thought it would go with the picture itself since Zayne is wearing nerd glasses.

Shot with a Nikon D3 and 85mm micro lens. Settings: f/1.4, 1/100sec and ISO 250.

Day One Hundred And Six

April 26, 2011

Shot with a Nikon D3 and 85mm micro lens. Settings: f/1.4, 1/100sec and ISO 400.

Brandon Houge brought a huge tub of cheese balls to work, so I thought I'd make them into something fun!
Haha

Day One Hundred And Five

April 25, 2011

Shot with a Nikon D3 and 85mm micro lens. Settings: f/1.4, 1/100sec, and 400ISO.

Day One Hundred And Four

April 24, 2011

Shot with a Nikon D3 and 70-200mm zoom lens. Settings: f/5.6, 1/500sec and ISO 100.

This was the same place as the sheep, but I went back the next day to shoot the barn instead. I think the trees in the foreground give it a bit of a creepy feeling. I like it!

Day One Hundred And Three

April 23, 2011

Shot with a Nikon D3 and 70-200mm zoom lens. Settings: f/5.6, 1/500sec and ISO 100.

SHEEP! They were so shy it was adorable! I wasn't able to capture an up close shot, but these two had two little lambs, one was white and the other was black, they were perfect! :]
